  • Nationality
  • Government-issued identification
  • Contact information
  • Tax residency information
  • Banking details where required
  • Any additional documentation requested under applicable regulatory requirements

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to verify all information provided before activating any account.

Submission of false, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

8. Account Verification

To comply with international Anti-Money Laundering ("AML"), Counter-Terrorist Financing ("CTF"), Know Your Customer ("KYC"), and other regulatory obligations, Oceanic Trading may require identity verification before providing access to certain services.

Verification may include:

  • Proof of residential address
  • Corporate incorporation documents
  • Source of funds documentation
  • Source of wealth documentation
  • Enhanced Due Diligence documentation where applicable

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to request updated documentation at any time during the lifetime of your account.

Failure to provide requested information within a reasonable period may result in temporary suspension or permanent closure of your account.

9. Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, passwords, authentication devices, recovery codes, and any other security information associated with your account.

You agree to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials;
  • Use strong and unique passwords;
  • Enable available security features such as Multi-Factor Authentication where offered;
  • Notify Oceanic Trading immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorised access or suspected security breach.

Oceanic Trading shall not be liable for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.

You remain fully responsible for all activity conducted through your account unless otherwise required by applicable law.

10. Client Responsibilities

As a condition of using our Platform, you agree to:

  • Act honestly and in good faith at all times;
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • Maintain accurate account information;
  • Keep your contact details up to date;
  • Cooperate with any compliance or regulatory enquiries;
  • Use the Platform solely for lawful investment activities;

You further agree not to:

  • Open multiple accounts without authorisation;

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to investigate suspected misconduct and take any action considered appropriate, including account suspension, reporting to regulatory authorities, or commencement of legal proceedings where necessary.

11. Permitted Use of the Platform

Oceanic Trading grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for lawful personal or authorised business purposes in accordance with these Terms.

This licence does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property, software, systems or proprietary technology used by Oceanic Trading.

You agree to use the Platform responsibly and exclusively for legitimate investment, portfolio management, financial research, and related activities permitted under applicable laws.

You shall not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without prior written consent.
  • Modify, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to access the source code of any software operated by Oceanic Trading.
  • Introduce malicious software, viruses, automated bots, or any technology intended to disrupt the Platform.
  • Circumvent security features, authentication systems, or access controls.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to client accounts, internal systems, databases or infrastructure.
  • Use the Platform in connection with money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, market manipulation or any criminal activity.
  • Use automated trading software where such activity has not been expressly authorised by Oceanic Trading.
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the Platform or the experience of other clients.

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to suspend, restrict or permanently terminate access where any misuse of the Platform is identified.

12. Investment Risks

All investments carry varying degrees of financial risk.

By opening an account and using our services, you acknowledge that you fully understand the nature of financial markets and accept the risks associated with investing.

Investment products available through Oceanic Trading—including foreign exchange, equities, digital assets, commodities, indices and other financial instruments—may experience significant fluctuations in value.

Accordingly:

  • The value of investments may increase or decrease.
  • Past performance does not guarantee future results.
  • Returns are never guaranteed unless expressly stated within a separate legally binding agreement.
  • Market volatility may result in partial or total loss of invested capital.
  • Unexpected geopolitical, regulatory, technological or economic events may materially affect investment performance.

You should carefully evaluate your financial circumstances, investment objectives, experience and tolerance for risk before making any investment decision.

You should never invest funds that you cannot reasonably afford to lose.

Oceanic Trading does not provide personalised financial advice unless expressly agreed under a separate advisory engagement.

Where appropriate, clients are encouraged to obtain independent financial, legal and tax advice before making investment decisions.

13. Market Information & Research

Oceanic Trading may provide market commentary, investment research, educational materials, economic analysis, trading tools, news, price feeds, charts, technical analysis, market reports and other informational content.

Such information is provided solely for general informational purposes.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, no information published by Oceanic Trading constitutes:

  • Investment advice;
  • Financial advice;
  • Legal advice;
  • Tax advice;
  • Accounting advice;
  • A recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument.

Whilst Oceanic Trading endeavours to obtain information from reliable sources, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or reliability of any market information.

Financial markets change rapidly.

Information available at the time of publication may become inaccurate without notice.

Clients remain solely responsible for verifying information and making independent investment decisions.

14. Third-Party Information

Certain information available through the Platform may originate from independent third-party providers.

This may include:

  • Currency exchange rates

Oceanic Trading accepts no responsibility for investment decisions based upon third-party information.

15. Orders and Transactions

Submission of an instruction through the Platform does not automatically constitute acceptance or execution of that instruction.

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to reject, suspend, amend or cancel any transaction where reasonably necessary, including but not limited to circumstances involving:

  • Suspected fraud
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Market disruption
  • Pricing errors
  • Technical failures
  • Compliance investigations
  • Insufficient account balances
  • Identity verification concerns
  • Risk management procedures

Where possible, Oceanic Trading will notify clients of material transaction issues.

However, immediate action may be taken where required to protect clients, maintain market integrity or comply with applicable law.

16. Pricing & Market Execution

Prices displayed through the Platform are based upon available market information and liquidity sources at the relevant time.

Although Oceanic Trading makes every reasonable effort to ensure pricing accuracy, displayed prices may differ from prices available immediately before or after execution due to:

  • Market volatility
  • Liquidity conditions
  • Network latency
  • Trading volume
  • Execution timing
  • External market events

Clients acknowledge that market prices may change rapidly and that execution cannot always occur at the exact quoted price.

Oceanic Trading shall not be liable for losses arising from ordinary market movements or execution delays beyond its reasonable control.

17. Deposits

Clients may fund their accounts using payment methods approved by Oceanic Trading.

Accepted funding methods may include:

  • Bank transfers
  • Debit cards
  • Credit cards
  • Approved digital payment providers
  • Digital assets where supported

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to change accepted payment methods at any time.

All deposits remain subject to:

  • AML compliance

Funds originating from third parties may be rejected.

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to request additional documentation concerning the source of funds before accepting deposits.

18. Withdrawals

Clients may request withdrawals of available funds through the Platform, subject to applicable verification requirements.

Prior to processing withdrawals, Oceanic Trading may require:

  • Source of funds verification;

Withdrawal requests are generally processed within five (5) Business Days following successful verification.

19. Fees & Charges

Certain products or services may be subject to fees.

These may include:

  • Wire transfer fees
  • Custody fees
  • Asset management fees
  • Performance fees
  • Advisory fees
  • Platform subscription fees

Applicable fees will be disclosed prior to completion of the relevant transaction wherever reasonably practicable.

Clients remain responsible for any taxes, duties or government charges imposed by their local jurisdiction.

20. Client Communications

By opening an account with Oceanic Trading, you consent to receiving electronic communications relating to your account and our services.

Communications may include:

  • Account notifications
  • Transaction confirmations
  • Security alerts
  • Regulatory notices
  • Policy updates
  • Statements
  • Compliance requests
  • Service announcements

Communications may be delivered by:

  • Email
  • Secure client portal
  • SMS
  • Mobile application notifications
  • Telephone where appropriate

It is your responsibility to ensure that your contact information remains accurate and up to date.

Oceanic Trading shall not be responsible for losses arising from your failure to receive communications due to outdated or inaccurate contact details.

21. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF)

Oceanic Trading is fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance in the prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, corruption, and other forms of financial crime.

Our AML and CTF framework has been established in accordance with internationally recognised compliance principles and applicable regulatory requirements.

By opening and maintaining an account with Oceanic Trading, you agree to comply with all applicable anti-money laundering laws and acknowledge that Oceanic Trading may conduct ongoing monitoring of your account and transactions.

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to delay, refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate any transaction or business relationship where necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

22. Know Your Customer (KYC)

Before providing financial services, Oceanic Trading may require each Client to complete identity verification procedures.

Verification requirements may include, but are not limited to:

  • Government-issued photographic identification
  • Proof of residential address
  • Date of birth verification
  • Nationality confirmation
  • Tax residency information
  • Source of funds documentation
  • Source of wealth documentation
  • Corporate ownership documentation
  • Beneficial ownership declarations
  • Enhanced Due Diligence documentation where required

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to request additional documentation at any stage of the business relationship.

Failure to provide requested information within the specified timeframe may result in restrictions being placed on your account, including suspension of deposits, trading activity, withdrawals, or permanent account closure.

23. Source of Funds & Source of Wealth

Clients may be required to demonstrate that funds deposited into their accounts originate from lawful and legitimate sources.

Oceanic Trading may request documentation including, but not limited to:

  • Employment income records
  • Business income documentation
  • Investment statements
  • Property sale agreements
  • Inheritance documentation
  • Tax records
  • Bank statements
  • Company financial records

Where enhanced due diligence is required, Oceanic Trading may request supplementary evidence to satisfy regulatory obligations.

Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in refusal of deposits, delayed withdrawals, account restrictions, or termination of the business relationship.

24. Sanctions Compliance

Oceanic Trading maintains a comprehensive sanctions compliance programme designed to comply with applicable international sanctions regimes.

Clients must not:

  • Appear on government sanctions lists.
  • Act on behalf of sanctioned persons or organisations.
  • Attempt to circumvent international sanctions.
  • Conduct transactions involving sanctioned jurisdictions where prohibited by applicable law.

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately where sanctions concerns arise.

Where legally required, Oceanic Trading may report such matters to relevant authorities without prior notice to the Client.

25. Fraud Prevention

Protecting the integrity of our Platform and safeguarding Client assets are fundamental priorities.

Oceanic Trading actively monitors account activity to identify fraudulent or suspicious behaviour.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identity theft
  • Identity misrepresentation
  • Document forgery
  • Payment fraud
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Account takeover
  • Market manipulation
  • Insider dealing where applicable
  • Wash trading
  • Coordinated trading abuse
  • Platform exploitation
  • False declarations during account registration

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to investigate any activity that appears suspicious or inconsistent with normal trading behaviour.

Where fraud is suspected, accounts may be frozen pending investigation.

26. Ongoing Monitoring

Oceanic Trading performs continuous monitoring of client accounts throughout the duration of the business relationship.

Monitoring activities may include:

  • Transaction analysis
  • Behavioural monitoring
  • Risk assessments
  • Enhanced compliance reviews
  • Periodic KYC updates
  • Source of funds reviews
  • Account activity analysis

Clients acknowledge that such monitoring forms part of Oceanic Trading's legal and regulatory obligations and is necessary to maintain the security and integrity of the Platform.

27. Suspicious Activity Reporting

Where Oceanic Trading has reasonable grounds to suspect that an account or transaction may involve unlawful conduct, money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or other criminal activity, we reserve the right to:

  • Suspend transactions;
  • Restrict account functionality;
  • Freeze assets where legally required;
  • Request additional documentation;
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence;
  • Report relevant information to competent regulatory, law enforcement, or governmental authorities.

Oceanic Trading shall not be liable for any delays or restrictions resulting from mandatory compliance obligations.

Where prohibited by law, Oceanic Trading may be unable to disclose that a report has been submitted to any regulatory authority.

28. Account Suspension & Restrictions

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or temporarily limit access to any account where it reasonably considers such action necessary.

Reasons may include, but are not limited to:

  • Suspected fraud;
  • Regulatory investigations;
  • Court orders;
  • Identity verification concerns;
  • AML or sanctions compliance;
  • Security incidents;
  • Unauthorised access;
  • Breach of these Terms;
  • Unusual account activity;
  • Technical or operational risk.

During any suspension period, Oceanic Trading may temporarily restrict deposits, withdrawals, trading activity, or access to certain services while investigations are ongoing.

29. Account Closure

Oceanic Trading reserves the right to terminate the business relationship and close any Client account where:

  • These Terms have been materially breached;
  • Fraudulent activity has been identified;
  • Regulatory obligations require account closure;
  • The Client provides false or misleading information;
  • Continued provision of services presents unacceptable legal, operational, financial, or reputational risk.

Clients may request closure of their accounts at any time, subject to completion of outstanding obligations, verification procedures, settlement of open positions, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Closure of an account does not relieve either party from obligations that arose prior to termination.

30. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights relating to the Platform are owned by or licensed to Oceanic Trading.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Trademarks
  • Service marks
  • Logos
  • Trade names
  • Software
  • Platform design
  • Website content
  • Graphics
  • Databases
  • Source code
  • Algorithms
  • Trading technologies
  • Research publications
  • Educational materials
  • Marketing content

These materials are protected under applicable copyright, trademark, trade secret, and intellectual property laws.

Nothing contained within these Terms grants any ownership rights or licence other than the limited right to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.

31. Restrictions on Intellectual Property Use

You may not:

  • Copy or reproduce Platform content.
  • Modify or create derivative works.
  • Publish or distribute proprietary materials.
  • Reverse engineer software.
  • Remove copyright notices.
  • Use Oceanic Trading branding without written permission.
  • Register confusingly similar domain names or trademarks.
  • Use Platform content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

Unauthorised use of Oceanic Trading's intellectual property may result in legal action.

32. Confidentiality

Certain information made available through the Platform may be confidential or proprietary.

You agree to maintain the confidentiality of all non-public information obtained through your relationship with Oceanic Trading and not disclose such information to third parties except where required by law or authorised in writing.

This obligation survives termination of your account.

33. Privacy & Data Protection

Oceanic Trading respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

Collection, processing, storage, and disclosure of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy together with applicable data protection legislation.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that Oceanic Trading may process your personal information for purposes including:

  • Regulatory compliance;
  • Fraud prevention;
  • Client support;
  • Transaction processing;
  • Risk management;
  • Service improvement;
  • Legal reporting obligations.

Oceanic Trading implements commercially reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

While every reasonable effort is made to safeguard Client information, no method of electronic transmission or online storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

34. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform, together with all services, products, information, software, tools, market data and content made available by Oceanic Trading, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Oceanic Trading expressly disclaims all representations and warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including, but not limited to:

  • Merchantability;
  • Fitness for a particular purpose;
  • Non-infringement;
  • Accuracy;
  • Reliability;
  • Availability;
  • Security;
  • Compatibility;
  • Continuous operation; and
  • Freedom from viruses, malware or other harmful components.

Oceanic Trading does not warrant that:

  • The Platform will always be available without interruption;
  • Errors or defects will be corrected immediately;
  • Services will operate without technical interruptions;
  • Market information will always be complete or current;
  • Any investment objective or financial outcome will be achieved.

Use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk.

35. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Oceanic Trading, together with its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, representatives, contractors and service providers, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special losses or damages arising from or relating to:

  • Use or inability to use the Platform;
  • Investment losses;
  • Market volatility;
  • Delayed execution of transactions;
  • Technical interruptions;
  • System failures;
  • Communication failures;
  • Internet outages;
  • Cybersecurity incidents beyond our reasonable control;
  • Third-party service interruptions;
  • Regulatory actions;
  • Force majeure events;
  • Errors in market information;
  • Reliance upon educational or research materials.

This limitation applies regardless of whether the claim is based upon contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Oceanic Trading's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid directly by you to Oceanic Trading during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing contained within these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

36. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Oceanic Trading, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents and representatives from and against any claims, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising directly or indirectly from:

  • Your use of the Platform;
  • Your breach of these Terms;
  • Your violation of applicable laws or regulations;
  • Your infringement of any intellectual property or other legal rights;
  • Any negligent, fraudulent or unlawful act committed by you.

This indemnity shall survive the termination of your account.

37. Force Majeure

Oceanic Trading shall not be liable for any delay, interruption or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Such circumstances include, but are not limited to:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Floods;
  • Earthquakes;
  • Fire;
  • Epidemics or pandemics;
  • War;
  • Civil unrest;
  • Terrorist attacks;
  • Government actions;
  • Regulatory changes;
  • Labour disputes;
  • Internet outages;
  • Telecommunications failures;
  • Cybersecurity incidents;
  • Power failures;
  • Financial market closures; or
  • Failure of third-party service providers.

During such events, Oceanic Trading may suspend or modify services without incurring liability.

38. Electronic Communications

By using the Platform, you consent to receive communications electronically.

Such communications may include:

  • Account statements;
  • Transaction confirmations;
  • Regulatory disclosures;
  • Security notifications;
  • Policy updates;
  • Service announcements;
  • Marketing communications where permitted by law;
  • Compliance requests.

Electronic communications shall satisfy any legal requirement that communications be provided in writing.

Clients remain responsible for ensuring that their registered contact details remain accurate and current.

39. Suspension of Services

Oceanic Trading reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, restrict or discontinue any service where necessary for:

  • System maintenance;
  • Software upgrades;
  • Security enhancements;
  • Regulatory compliance;
  • Risk management;
  • Fraud prevention;
  • Operational improvements.

Where reasonably practicable, advance notice of planned maintenance will be provided.

Emergency maintenance may be carried out without prior notice.

40. Regulatory Compliance

Oceanic Trading operates in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations within the jurisdictions in which it conducts business.

Clients acknowledge that regulatory requirements may change over time.

Accordingly, Oceanic Trading reserves the right to modify products, services, account requirements and operational procedures in order to maintain ongoing legal and regulatory compliance.

41. Assignment

Oceanic Trading may assign, transfer or novate its rights and obligations under these Terms to any affiliate, successor or purchaser of its business without obtaining prior consent from Clients.

Clients may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations arising under these Terms without the prior written consent of Oceanic Trading.

42. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms.

The remaining provisions shall remain valid, enforceable and continue in full force and effect.

43. Waiver

Failure by Oceanic Trading to exercise or enforce any right or provision contained within these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Any waiver shall be effective only if made in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Oceanic Trading.

44. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our:

  • Privacy Policy;
  • Risk Disclosure;
  • AML & KYC Policy;
  • Cookie Policy;
  • Any additional policies published by Oceanic Trading; and
  • Any written agreements executed between Oceanic Trading and the Client,

constitute the entire agreement between the parties concerning use of the Platform.

They supersede all previous agreements, understandings, negotiations and communications relating to the same subject matter.

45. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Oceanic Trading is incorporated, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Platform or the services provided by Oceanic Trading shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

Nothing in this provision limits Oceanic Trading's right to seek interim or injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect its rights or assets.

46. Survival

Any provisions of these Terms which, by their nature, should survive termination shall continue in full force and effect following termination of your account.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Confidentiality;
  • Intellectual Property;
  • Limitation of Liability;
  • Indemnification;
  • Governing Law;
  • Dispute Resolution;
  • Payment Obligations; and
  • Regulatory Compliance.
